Early morning observations of many emu-wrens started upon hearing a soft contact call before sunrise, in triodia along unsealed road. A soft tseep sound was quite easily audible and some emu-wrens preceeded to perch on spinifex tops for increasing internal heat? More difficult to photograph than mallee emu-wren as constantly had triodia leaves in front of passerine.
