Darters are accomplished spear fishers, here one caught a catfish and tried to make certain it was dead by repeatedly spearing it's body. Whistling kites appeared and roosted on the yellow waters wetlands trees. The darter took it's prey back into the depths of the river to avoid piracy from other raptors who swooped incessantly upon the darters surface trail of expired air bubbles.
